Once upon a time, a pretty, diligent and responsible girl named Ashley who studied at Raya School.
And everyday, Ashley would study hard, do her home works and pass all her subjects.
But one day, she learned in Raya School other more equally important lessons.
And because of that, with the “batas militar day/s”, Ashley was able to know and relate to martial law, and how martial law affected families as when she became part of the cast of the play “Isang Harding Papel”. She took pride in representing the Philippines and Raya School at the Science Drama Play held at Singapore. More importantly, she experienced first-hand interaction with other students with special needs by spending time with them at Bridges.
Until finally, Ashley became more educated - in life.
And from that day onwards, she had a better understanding of love for country as well as compassion and respect for other people, especially those with special needs.
And the moral of the story is, there are more or equally important lessons which are not learned inside a classroom.
